This position requires unrelenting customer experience, and operational excellence! 

  

We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!

Responsibilities: 

  • System design experience to define, design & implement discrete services & building blocks for analytic and real time data platforms 
  • Design, develop and maintain metadata driven data pipeline automation framework(s) for batch, event and streaming data in cloud native environment 
  • Design & implement consistent snapshots for various data persistence stages 
  • Design and implement a framework for data source profiling for optimal query performance  
  • Develop data modeling standards, governance, automation frameworks and developer tooling to standardize and accelerate data delivery across the organization. 
  • Design and implement data models for APIs/Events/Batch based system and data integration 
  • Rapid prototyping and presenting proof of concepts for key technology decision to collaborators and other technology leaders. 
  • Build end to end data pipelines from source to target ensuring data quality, consistency and observability using DataOps principles 
  • Coach and mentor fellow and junior engineers 
  •   

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent 
  • 5+ year software development delivery accountability  
  • 3+ years of hand on experience in metadata management, metadata driven automation and developer efficiency tooling 
  • 3+ years of data lake with cloud native data warehouses (snowflake/redshift) or lake house formations  
  • 3+ years of cloud native data solutions enabling Analytics, Operational, Data Science and ML use cases 
  • 3+ year of large scale event-driven and streaming solutions in cloud native environment 
  • 5+ years with advanced SQL and scripting (python/bash etc.) development 
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills 
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion 
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Desired: 

  • Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or similar analytical field. 
  • Manufacturing and/or Aerospace experience 
  • Experience working/collaborating with Master Data Management, Metadata Management and Data Governance

Engineer - SW Development III is $123,750 - $181,500

Engineer - Data III is $124,933 - $183,234

Engineer - SW Development Sr is $150,544 - $220,798

Compensation range for on site WA applicants:

Engineer - SW Development III is $135,000 - $198,000

Engineer - Data III is $136,290 - $199,892

Engineer - SW Development Sr is $163,725 - $240,130
