Job introduction:

The Global Finance organization is looking to add an Associate Data Engineer to their team. This candidate should strive to perform in a fast pace environment, where new ideas are supported and rewarded. This team operates under agile principles while striving to deliver continuous wins for a long lasting product. Responsibilities include data modeling studies and data model development. Assisting with the development and maintenance of ETL requirements as well as participating in thorough QA testing. Team members work with client and IT management to establish and maintain consistent data element definitions across computing environments. Candidates should have knowledge of the principles to create and implement systems, technical and product standards and procedures. Team members should also help identify possible process improvements that address technology gaps within a single business process.

About the job:

• Participates in the evaluation of complex business requirements.
• Transforms common system requirements into data models, according to architecture for shared and reusable services – designs are generic and of broad scope models data solutions across projects according to architecture, technology and standards agreed upon by the team.
• Depicts ideas, issues and data designs to varied audiences.
• Coordinates database changes within context of overall configuration management process.
• Provides support as part of the development team throughout project lifecycle, including during test phase, researches test issues and data content, and assists with problem resolution.
• Investigates and assists with the development of new tools and techniques. Collaborates on hardware/software evaluations. Performs related duties as assigned or requested.
• Familiarizes and advocates agile practices for working with the team and our business partners, leveraging Jira as the primary source to track and communicate work efforts.

Qualifications

Desired skills:

• Bachelor`s degree in technical or business discipline or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 1+ years of Data Analyst experience with focus on data engineering concepts.
• General knowledge of agile data engineering concepts and processes.
• General knowledge of the following: IT concepts, strategies and methodologies.
• IT architectures and technical standards.
• General knowledge of a business function(s) and business operations.
• Design and development tools.
• General knowledge of layered systems architectures.
• Negotiation skills; oral and written communication skills.
• General knowledge of architectures and technical standards.
• Must be proactive, demonstrate initiative and be a logical thinker.
• Consultative skills, including the ability to understand and assist in applying customer requirements, including drawing out unforeseen implications and making recommendations for design, the ability to define design reasoning, understanding potential impacts of design requirements.
• Collaboration, prioritization, and adaptability skills required.
