AWS Dynamo Data Engineer

This is a remote position open to any qualified applicant in the United States and Canada.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Get involved in analysis requirement gathering, exercise, design, and development of the requirements
• Reverse engineering for the legacy ELT Unix scripts to analyse the existing logic
• Develop new ELT scripts in AWS Glue/Python/Unix for the migration of application and Datalake from On Prem to AWS Cloud
• QA validation and Parallel data load validations to ensure that migration is intact
• Communicate effectively with customer Unit testing and UAT support
• Code repository build and prod implementation plans

Position Qualifications:

• At least 4 years of experience
• Required skills: Dynamo DB
• Nice to have skills: AWS Big Data, AWS Glue, Hadoop Administration, Talend ETL, Amazon Redshift and Python

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $94,000 – $98,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
