Lead Data Architect

We are looking for a Lead Data Architect to accelerate and lead the data ingestion process to enable Pointillist users to leverage customer journey analytics and transform customer-centric experiences. Our data ingestion process is personalized, efficient, and agile. At Pointillist, the Data Integration & Insights team goes beyond simply ingesting data. It is about becoming an extension of our customer’s business—closely understanding their challenges and aspirations, as you work together with their data SMEs and business owners to make data and business value recommendations. Internally, you will collaborate with different teams and across departments interacting with DevOps, Engineering, Product, Sales and Marketing.
In this role you will . . .
Lead a team of data engineers to successfully onboard client data, from data discovery through production deployment
Partner closely with other cross-functional team members to translate business needs and product capabilities into successful integrations
Clearly communicate team needs and statuses of projects to stakeholders both internal and external
Grow and develop your team as we deliver at greater scale
Understand client data and how it can be used in our product to show a customer’s journeys and experiences
Improve our processes and tools to ingest massive data volumes into the Pointillist platform
Become a subject matter expert on Pointillist's customer journey analytics platform and integration capabilities, influencing the Pointillist product roadmap with your advocacy for customer’s needs
You have . . .
7+ year work experience, in a software development or data-focused role
Success managing client-facing, technical teams to on-time deployments
Excellent communication, delegation, and time-management skills
Experience working with large amounts of data (wrangling & analytics)
Experience with creating and consuming complex time series data is a plus
Bachelor’s degree in a related major: Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, mathematics, or other relevant experience
Excellent written and verbal skills required; additional language skills beyond English are a plus.

Benefits and Compensation:
Market competitive salary with an anticipated base salary range of $145,500 - $242,500 USD. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location.
