Job Title: Python Data Engineer(remote)

Role/Responsibilities:

§ Analyzing and designing documents program specifications, test plans and results, design, code, testing, debugging and documentation of those programs while delivering assignments within specified time frames.

Participating in key business initiatives and recommending business an IT technical solution to business partners.

§ Providing estimates and level of effort as required.

§ Developing and implementing technical solutions as assigned, ensuring and adhering to all established methodologies, standards and guidelines.

§ Providing research and analysis support to business queries regarding data quality using Hadoop/SQL/DB2 databases to perform data profiling/data analysis/root cause analysis on big data platform using Agility, Python and SAS.

Required Qualifications:

§ 8 to 12 years of experience.

§ 5+ years’ experience with business/data analysis.

§ 5+ years’ experience building SQL Queries and working with tools to access: Hadoop DB, Python, SQL Server, SAS or SQL.

§ Experience working in healthcare industry.

§ Strong analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities as well as exceptional customer service orientation.

§ Excellent organization skills including the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently with high level of attention to detail.

§ Competency to work with minimal supervision in a technical capacity on most phases of the development cycle.

§ Ability to work on multiple assignments and meet the respective due dates.

§ Experience manipulating and analyzing data from large databases using SAS, SQL or other appropriate software.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $95,000.00 – $105,000.00 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
